I like both. I like to be creative, and I also am very into the sewing. Even though I went to the school and learned all kinds of stuff like suits for men, and pants, not only for women, I decided to keep it to gowns. I like to do more embroidery and little details and this and that. That’s why the bridal is part of my dream, because there’s a lot of details on it. You have to have a lot of patience to do this, and I think I do. And just to see my clients happy, even for a hemming, for what I do for them, that is my goal.

I am a dress maker. I customize dresses, I take measurements, I do my own patterns, I create the patterns, and then I cut the material, from scratch.

For any garment, the customer comes in and they give me an idea of what they want, and we create something for that specific person, together. I take her ideas, I give my advice, and depending on their body shape and the type of gown or garment they need, we create for them. And then taking the measurements from the person and creating the pattern just for her. And then cutting the material and sewing together, there are a couple fittings before the final fitting.

I believe that the alterations part of the gown for the bride is the main thing for them. They go and buy the dress, but the dress when it comes to them, it doesn’t fit them the right way. So that’s why alterations have a lot of importance for them. So to see them crying at the final fitting, that is my goal. Because that is when they see themselves with the dress, when they see themselves as a bride, when the dress fits well. So that’s why I think it was my goal to open this business and have the full service, because they’ve spent time and money, and they’ve spent a lot. So why not give it to them in one place?
